Have a Hoot Part 8 – Hey There

The Have a Hoot series is back for the final four projects! Today I’m sharing the card I demonstrated for the video presentation I did for Demos Galore. Please see Part 1 for more information on that event. The next Demos Galore is coming on January 23! I’ll share more information soon about how you can participate.

The Have a Hoot Bundle is retiring soon and available only while supplies last, so this is your last chance if you love these cuties! The Celebrations Labels Dies and Gilded Autumn Specialty Designer Series Paper I used for this card are also retiring, and they are both so great! There’s a banner below about the closeout – just select it to shop it with me.

This card is a little unusual for me in a few ways. It’s a newer thing for me to choose Whisper White Thick Cardstock as my card base, and I think this might be the first time I opted for Very Vanilla. And I usually would more or less cover a Whisper White card base with Designer Series Paper, but this time I left it mostly naked.

This ended up being a pretty quick and easy card because it was mostly die cutting and punching. The punch is the Rectangular Postage Stamp Punch, which is happily not retiring (it’s part of the Posted For You Bundle in the current annual catalog).

What was NOT unusual for me is that I colored ribbon to be the perfect complement to my card. In this case I used the light Pumpkin Pie Blends marker to color the Gold 3/8″ Metallic Edge Ribbon.
