Blog Hop, Sale-A-Bration, Stamped Cards

January 2022 Casually Crafting Blog Hop

Welcome to the January 2022 Casually Crafting Blog Hop! We are Stampin’ Up!® demonstrators from around the world who love to create cards ideal for the beginner or casual crafter. This month we’re taking on a sketch challenge.

I received the Friends of the Forest Stamp Set just before I was getting ready to create a card with this sketch, and I thought it would be fun to use the Deer Builder Punch as my “any shape.”

I started, though, with choosing a new favorite Designer Series Paper, the one from the Friendly Hello Bundle that is one of the items you can earn right now during Sale-a-bration. I layered each piece on a Granny Apple Green card base. The Granny Apple Green leafy piece is 5-3/8” x 4-1/8” and the dotted piece 5-3/8” x 1”.

I tried a few different ways to color in the deer, and decided to try using using a Blending Brush to color some Basic White Thick cardstock with Soft Suede ink, then stamped the deer with Early Espresso ink. I will definitely be using this technique again.

To finish the card, I stamped the sentiment on a 3/4” by 2” piece of Basic White Cardstock in Early Espresso ink, then used a sponge dauber to ink the edges with Granny Apple Green ink.

I hope you enjoyed the project I shared today! Please continue hopping and finding more inspiration by selecting the next link below. If you received this by email, please select the title at the top to visit my website and find the blog hop list.
