Welcome to the April 2021 Technique Squad Blog Hop! I’m so excited to be part of this fun collaboration with fellow demonstrators. This month’s technique is stained glass, which has a number of variations in how it can be done. I can’t wait to show you my project!

Before I get to the technique, this is the first card I’m sharing using the new 2021-2023 In Color Collection. I am just loving these colors, possibly especially having a shade of peach.

I really enjoyed the watercoloring I did with the Hand-Drawn Blooms stamp set the other day, so decided to use the same set again for the stained glass technique.

For the technique, I first stamped the two-part image from the Hand-Drawn Blooms stamp set with Jet Black StazOn ink onto Vellum Cardstock. After the ink dried, I flipped the vellum over and colored the image with all five 2021-2023 In Color Stampin’ Blends Combo Packs.

I flipped the vellum back over and attached it to a piece of Basic White cardstock. I added a frame cut out with the third-largest of the Rectangle Stitched Dies from Soft Succulent cardstock. I added that to a base of Fresh Freesia cardstock with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

The sentiment — also from the Hand-Drawn Blooms stamp set — was stamped with Polished Pink, then die cut from Basic White Thick cardstock using one of the Tasteful Labels Dies. I used a sponge dauber to add Pale Papaya ink to the edges of the sentiment label, then added the sentiment to the card with a Stampin’ Dimensional. I finished the card with a few 2021-2023 In Color Jewels, which are just lovely! You can find a button for the full product list below.
