Stamped Cards, Stampin' Up!, Stamping

Dandy Garden Suite Cards

The Dandy Garden Suite has SO many items to work with, and just a few of them are two stamp sets, dies, a punch, and 6″ x 6″ Designer Series Paper. I made the card below with Calypso Coral for a swap in January, and have wanted ever since to make a couple more with the same layout in Blackberry Bliss and Bumblebee.

All three cards feature a layer of vellum embossed with the Dandelions 3D Embossing Folder. It is not part of the suite (it is in the annual catalog, while the suite was introduced in the January – June 2021 Mini Catalog), but it’s a great item to add on since it coordinates so well.

I went over details about these cards plus make-and-takes from the OnStage demonstrator event last November in my Facebook Live on Sunday. The YouTube version is embedded here.

Because I made the original Calypso Coral card for a swap, I punched the dragonfly out of patterned paper so I’d have enough for all the cards I needed to make. The sentiment is punched out with the Timeless Label Punch.

For the Blackberry Bliss card, I punched a dragonfly out of one of the designs included in the 6″ x 6″ Designer Series Paper and the sentiment with the Story Label Punch.

For the Bumblebee card, I stamped the dragonfly with Saddle Brown StazOn ink onto Fluid 100 Watercolor Paper, then used ink and a Water Painter to color it. The sentiment is punched out with the Tailored Tag Punch.
