This is a card I’ve been meaning to make since ordering the Coming Home Bundle — I just knew I needed to make a house with a Halloween theme rather than the winter/holiday theme the set is centered around. I’m sure I’m not the only one with this idea, but I have specifically tried to avoid looking for others’ work in this case so I wouldn’t be influenced.
I stamped the bare tree from the Coming Home stamp set onto a piece from the Magic in This Night Designer Series Paper (part of this month’s Designer Series Paper Sale!) with Tuxedo Black Memento Ink to create a bit more of a spooky background for my house. For a couple of the tree trunks, I carefully colored with the light Basic Black Stampin’ Blends marker to extend it to the “ground.”
To allow the die-cut house to blend into the background a little better than the white paper edges would, I colored around the white edges with the light Basic Black Stampin’ Blends marker, making sure to hit the edges as well.
The sentiment is from the Banner Year stamp set, and punched with the Banner Pick a Punch.
I colored one of the smaller white dots from the All the Trimmings Embellishments with the dark Basic Black Stampin’ Blends marker to in order to have a coordinating bit of bling.
