Rooted in Nature – Part Two

Next up in my Rooted in Nature stamp set series, a card that proves that even mistakes or flubs can work out just fine in your crafting.

I was attempting a technique I stumbled across somewhere on the Internet, black ice. It involves metallic foil paper, black StazOn ink, Versamark, and clear emboss powder, and it looks really cool. Mine didn’t turn out “right” (I’m ordering a VersaMark refill very soon – how is it I don’t already have one? – because I think not enough of that is what went awry), but I love it anyway.

In the end, it makes me think of looking out the window on a frosty Minnesota day.

To finish the card, I added Golden Honey Specialty Designer Paper, which is a free Sale-A-Bration item through March with a qualifying purchase; a sentiment from the new Label Me Bold stamp set, and metallic-edged ribbon.
