Welcome to the Retiring In Colors Blog Hop. I’m joining a group of independent Stampin’ Up!® demonstrators from around the world to share inspiration with you as we bid farewell to Rococo Rose, Terracotta Tile, Pretty Peacock, Seaside Spray, and Purple Posy.
I have really loved this collection of colors. As I reflected on the past two years, I realized that I hadn’t shown much love to Purple Posy, so took this opportunity to do just that. I also hadn’t yet had a chance to use a particular sentiment from the retiring Comfort & Hope stamp set with my version of the overlapping fun fold card. You can see other cards like this here and here.
When you open this card, it can appear just like a paper hug, and I’ve been meaning to use this “Sending you a paper hug” sentiment for a while.
I selected a few sheets from the retiring Playing with Patterns 6″ x 6″ Designer Series Paper that include Purple Posy.
For previous cards, I’ve made the inside sentiment layer the entire 4″ wide, but this time I wanted to be able to see all the colors from top to bottom, so made it 3.5″ wide.
The image around the sentiment is also from the Comfort & Hope stamp set, punched out with the retiring 2″ Circle Punch, then inked around the edge with a sponge dauber. I added a few Butterfly Gems to complete my homage to Purple Posy. You can find a button for the product list below the blog hop list.
I hope you enjoyed the project I shared today! Please continue hopping and finding more inspiration by selecting the next link below. If you received this by email, please select the title at the top to visit my website to find the blog hop list.
