I’m excited to be participating in Kylie Bertucci’s Monthly International Blog Highlights with Stampin’ Up!® demonstrators from around the world! The theme this and every month is Thank You. Below there is a button where you can visit the gallery and vote for your five favorite cards (I hope mine is one of them!).
When I saw the A Touch of Ink stamp set in the Sale-a-Bration brochure, it reminded me of a card I made years ago, about 2010, using the long-retired and personal favorite Elements of Style stamp set. This card also featured the Top Note die, which I’d love to see an updated version of.
Could I create a new card with the same basic design elements? Yes, I could! I believe Soft Suede was an In Color back then, but is part of the Neutrals color family now. However, we don’t have the textured cardstock, so I embossed a layer with the Subtle 3D Embossing Folder, which is quite similar. Top Note is hard to replace, but I found a die in the Hippo & Friends Dies that has the same spirit.
The most fun part was using the rock and roll stamping technique. I inked the hummingbird stamp with Pear Pizzazz, then “rocked and rolled” the edges of the stamp on the Terracotta Tile ink pad.
Naturally, I stepped things up a little bit with coordinating ribbon and embellishments!
I’d love it if you were to vote for me! The top 10 will participate in a blog hop toward the end of February. Just look for my card in the gallery and select the heart in the upper right corner of the image.

Thank you, Kylie! It was a fun project and I really like how it turned out. I could keep going for a long time recreating my decade-old cards!
