Whoops! The other day I thought I was sharing my last card with retiring products, but It seems that I have just one more card. I had set this one aside for later because the stamp sets I used are in the current annual catalog, but when I was looking at someone else’s Z-fold card online it occurred to me I used a die from the Celebration Labels Dies for the “flap” of this birthday card, plus I used one of the Wrapped in Texture Embossing Folders on the inside. I have LOVED incorporating these dies and embossing folders into my projects the past few months, and you can still get them for 50% off through January 4 or until they sell out.
I think this was the first Z-fold card I’ve created, and I like how easily it stands on its own. It’s also an easy way to do something different — you just score the front of the card and fold it back. Start with a card base that’s 11″ x 4-1/2″, score at 5-1/2″, then flip and score at 2-3/4.” I added patterned paper and an embossed piece as shown here:
There are variations on the Z-fold card, and this one simply adds a piece, a “flap,” onto the front. You can certainly do this with a rectangular piece of cardstock rather than a die cut, though this particular die adds a special something. This particular example doesn’t have the inside sentiment panel (the ones I sent to people did!), but all you need to do is make sure it doesn’t show when the card is folded flat.

- 2020-2022 In Color 6″ x 6″ Designer Series Paper
