When my Stampin’ Cut and Emboss arrived in early August, the Magic in This Night Suite was part of the same order. Naturally, then, the Cobwebs 3D Embossing Folder ended up being the first one I tried out on the new machine.
My Big Shot is old. I was a demonstrator back when it was introduced to Stampin’ Up!® in 2008, and had a chance to order it early because I attended convention that year. The world of die-cutting and dry embossing has evolved so much over the years! My Big Shot, however, has become less and less able to keep up. I can certainly use it for basic die-cutting, but nothing that involves intricate dies. Embossing folders were a particular challenge, where I could only get a good impression at all on a strip down the middle of the machine.
So, I was pretty excited to try out the Cobwebs 3D Embossing Folder right away, and it looked amazing!
This card is the end result of an attempt to create a card live while showing off the new machine. You can see my first attempt at a Facebook Live here. I have figured out how to make sure it’s horizontal/landscape next time!
I hadn’t planned on it, but I used every component of the suite in this card: Hallows Night Magic stamp set, Halloween Magic Dies, Cobwebs 3D Embossing Folder, Magic in This Night Designer Series Paper, Black Glitter Paper, Iridescent Pearls, and 1-1/2″ Metallic Mesh Ribbon.
